West Dartmouth housing plan, not right for the town ?
MILLWOOD Homes’ recent consultation meetings have been labelled as ‘shambolic’ by campaign group No 2West Dart development.
The No 2WDD group canvassed their opinions after attending three consultation meetings for the £80 million West Dart development held in Dartmouth, Stoke Fleming and Townstal by Millwood Homes.
The group has already raised objections to the scheme via Southern Planning Practice and Gregory Jones QC.
South Hams Council considering the extension of the original area granted by Government inspectors by some 14.8 hectares, which campaigners believe is unlawful.
The No 2 WDD campaign group is adamant it should not be allowed to build across land to the south of the site – which was never in the original approved development boundary.
Millwood Homes claims that without the boundary extension the huge development – which will form a major new community on the western edge of Dartmouth – will not be viable.
