Dartmouth young pianists make the grade
Talented young piano students clocked up their music certificates and staged a concert for a packed audience at Dartmouth’s Flavel.
The youngsters were all pupils of Jessica Heywood who performed in the Dart Music Festival. Each of them put on a brief performance during the event organised by Jessica who has taught piano and cello in the town for 25 years.
Accompanied by pianist Katrin Irvine, Jessica’s daughter Freya sang Lionel Bart’s Where is Love, and former piano pupil Michael Bryan Forbes, now 17 and at Exeter College, rounded off the concert with some foot-tapping jazz.
Jessica thanked all the proud parents and grandparents and especially her ‘little stars’ for their hard work over the past year.
