Snowball to raise funds for Dartmouth’s Christmas lights

DARTMOUTH businesses have come together to put on an event to raise money for the town’s new Christmas lights.

They have donated entertainment, food, drinks and services for the Snowball at the The Flavel on November 8.

A raffle, with a top prize of a tasting tour at Sharp’s Brewery as well as a meal for two at The Mariners, jointly owned by Sharp’s Brewery and Nathan Outlaw, will boost the fundraising.

It is hoped that the event will raise over £7,000, enabling the town to illuminate itself in spectacular fashion for the festive season.

On arrival, guests will be welcomed with drinks courtesy of Sharpham Vineyard. Canapés will be provided by Bayard’s Cove and Mama’s Kitchen. Bread and desserts will be donated by Saveurs, while butter will be provided by Dartmouth Dairy and water for the tables will be donated by Devonia.

The starters will be provided by Mitch Tonks and his team at The Seahorse restaurant. Main courses will be prepared by The Royal Castle Hotel with duck legs courtesy of Creedy Carver.

Cheese will be donated by both Dartmouth Dairy and Dart to Mouth Deli, while apples, celery, grapes and chutney will be provided by Gilly’s Farm. Coffee will be provided by Cru Catering at The Flavel.
